Every business in Zimbabwe needs a truck sometimes. Nobody had an app for it.
Movu is built in Harare by Neuronet AI Solutions. We started as a delivery marketplace and learned, from the shops and builders we worked with, that the real problem was the vehicle, not the parcel.
The insight
The phone chain is the product we replaced.
Ask anyone in Harare how they last hired a lorry and you hear the same story: a cousin, a number on a wall, a WhatsApp group, three calls, a price that changed on the day, and a truck that came late or not at all.
On the other side, owner-drivers and small fleets sit idle between the jobs they find through the same chain. Empty return legs, quiet weeks, no way to be found by the person five kilometres away who needs them right now.
Movu puts both sides on one map. The customer picks a vehicle and sees a fair, formula-based price. The drivers nearby see the request and answer. The customer chooses. The trip is tracked, the driver is paid directly, and Movu takes a small commission only when the load is delivered.

Shingai leads Movu: the company strategy, driver and fleet partnerships, business accounts and the day-to-day operations that get a vetted vehicle to a customer's pin. He is the voice of Movu with customers, drivers and partners.

CTO
Ngoni is the founding architect of Movu and CTO of Neuronet AI Solutions. He designs every layer of the platform, from the dispatch engine that offers your request to nearby drivers to the prepaid balance that keeps the money model simple.
